The literary division of the global public relations firm Ruder Finn - Planned Television Arts (PTA) donated several hundred books to Negril Education Environmental Trust (NEET), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the educational improvement of Jamaican children by establishing libraries across the island of Jamaica, at the Second Annual Kidz ‘N Keyboardz "Walk for Literacy" - 3 mile Walkathon held on Saturday July 24th, 2010 in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, New York.

US agricultural organizations, state farm bureaus and the US Chamber of Commerce have joined forces in support of a bill that would ease the current US embargo against Cuba, allowing food to be exported to the communist-ruled Caribbean island nation. The bill, which was approved by the House Agriculture committee earlier this month, is opposed by many Cuban-American groups who fear the opening would bolster communist rule.
