b2ap3_thumbnail_yasusafari1.jpgKingston, Jamaica, W.I. & Aarhaus, Denmark (March 29, 2015). Jam Yard Promotion, Reggae and Jamaican Cultural Association based in Denmark have extended the Yasus Afari Roots Reggae & Dub Euro Tour slated for April 1- 30, 2015 to mid-May, due to additional interest and increased booking. This exciting tour will now kick off a week later than originally planned.

Yasus Afari affectionately known as "The Rasta Guru” will make his appearance in Europe/Scandinavia like a true Roots Maestro with his full ensemble of edutainment which includes activated poetry festival, literature reading, reasoning sessions, school lectures. Even the churches in England are grabbing after the Jamaican Rastafarian Dub Poet Ambassador. It is no wonder, this Rastafari Ambassador “stunned and inspired international delegates at the Parliament of the World’s Religions held at the newly constructed Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre in South Australia in 2010 with his highly anticipated presentation, inspired by his book ‘Overstanding Rastafari: Jamaica’s Gift to the World’ ” (http://rastaites.com).

His Euro tour begins April 3rd with headlining double shows: Easter Reggae Splash in Kolding City south Denmark, featuring Danish soul singer PEARL and Reggae musician MWAKENYA.  He then hits Highway E45 and heads north to Riddim Night in Aalborg City, where he will close the show.

The following week, the dub Poet Ambassador will be featured on the major radio talk show circuit giving interviews; participating in a scheduled Dub plate session and Band rehearsal, as well as, conducting an edutainment lecture in Sun Mountain School. He travels to Antwerp City, Belgium where he headlines (Reggae Dancehall Fever).

In the third week, Yasas Afari will facilitate two nights of poetry themed "One Love Poetry Fest" in Aarhus, Denmark, City of Smiles and at Aalborg city library. This is the first time the community will see poetry of this magnitude performed in collaboration with local poets, AARHUS POETRY CLUB and journalists from (Aarhus city and university.

Vintage night Reggae Roots & Dub live band concert will also showcase the oldest active reggae talent in Denmark: 35 yr. old "SLO DOWN BAND" who will warm up for Yasus, as well as, Roots musician STRAWL.  This event dovetails the One Love Poetry Fest and ushers the Dub Poet Ambassador into his last week in Denmark. Patrons will be able to reason with Yasus up close and personal with Journalists from AARHUS GLOBAL MEDIA
http://aarhusglobalmedia.dk/. Here, the audience is allowed to ask questions and get their books autographed.

Yasus Afari in collaboration with Sky Juice Promotion will produce a Poetry Session in the Danish capital Copenhagen, another first. This production brings to a close the exciting tour de force in Denmark and positions the Dub Ambassador for scheduled activities in England during the month of May. He will do some Poetry slams, Edutainment lectures, Reasoning sessions, Book reading and signing, before heading back to Jamaica May 20, 2015.
